Lower Memorial Park is one of the area’s most useful “do-a-bit-of-everything” green spaces — good for a quick walk, kids’ play time, and casual sport. Oldham Council lists facilities including 2 tennis courts, 2 bowling greens, multi-games courts, swings and other play equipment, plus picnic areas, car parking and toilets (when staff are on site).
It also carries a remembrance link: it’s recorded as a memorial park dedicated to local men who died in WW1 and is listed on war memorial registers.
